Is the Luthmore a direct replacement for my gas combi?
Tankless and wall-mounted, the Luthmore is the same size as a traditional combi. It fits in the same space and uses the same pipes and radiators — installed in as little as one day.
How long does installation take?
A typical installation is completed in one day. Our trained engineers will remove your old boiler, install the Luthmore, and have your heating and hot water up and running before they leave.
Will I run out of hot water?
It’s very unlikely. The Luthmore stores the equivalent of 138 litres of hot water on a single charge. If the battery does deplete, it seamlessly switches to mains power so your hot water never stops.
Can I use it with solar panels?
Absolutely. The Luthmore is fully solar compatible, so you can charge the batteries directly from your solar PV system and reduce your energy costs even further.
What about running costs?
By charging the batteries during off-peak hours when electricity is cheapest, you can significantly reduce your energy bills. The Luthmore app lets you schedule charging and monitor usage in real time.
Is it safe?
Yes. The Luthmore uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries — the same stable chemistry used in electric vehicles. LFP is one of the safest battery technologies available, with an exceptionally long lifespan.
Does it need servicing?
Like any boiler, regular servicing is recommended. The Luthmore’s modular design makes maintenance straightforward — individual components can be accessed and replaced without removing the whole unit.
